WEBSITE ACCESSS

www.leafyfieldsglamping.com is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst www.leafyfieldsglamping.com strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

we work hard to keep our website mobile compatible IOS and Android. It is viewable on desktop using chrome, safari or internet explorer.

This is a wix hosted template website. Visual indicators are enabled on our site. Blue rectangles will appear around interactive elements (like buttons or links) when site visitors use a keyboard to navigate through  the site. They allow the visitor to see where their current position is.

Keeping the site easy to read.

As a dyslexic family we choose fonts we found easy to read:

  • Write content using text elements, rather than adding an image with text in it to help text reader software.

  • Select a font color that creates sufficient contrast with the background.

  • We try to avoid using formatting (bold, italics and ALL CAPS) to emphasize information, since screen readers do not convey formatting.

  • Avoid small font sizes when possible.

To prepare our website for screen readers, we aim to add alt text to our key images.

Recommended Screen Readers

Wix sites are optimized for the following (most commonly used) screen readers:

  • Windows + Firefox or Chrome: NVDA (Free reader)

  • Mac + Safari: Voiceover (Built-in reader)

  • Android + Chrome: Talkback (Built-in reader)

  • iOS + Safari: Voiceover (Built-in reader)

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact our accessibility coordinator Dannie by phone: 07842320981 or  e.mail: leafyfieldsglamping@yahoo.com. Your feedback will help us make improvements.
