Winter is fast approaching and as we pack away our beautiful bell tent and close up our gorgeous safari lodges for the colder weather, our thoughts are turning to what the 2021 season might hold and what kind of a glamping holiday you could enjoy at LFG next year.
As no one knows what to expect from the year ahead with the Covid-19 regulations constantly changing, we are planning to maintain the flexibility of just paying a one night deposit at the time of booking, to secure your dates, with the balance not due till 48 hours before arrival.
We will still have contact less arrivals and departures for safety and will not be providing bedding for the 2021 season as we believe it is much safer for our guests to bring their own bedding. Our wipe clean zipped in mattress protectors have proved very effective and reassuring for guests so will be in use again for the 2021 season.
We will continue 'fogging' our accommodation between guests in the 2021 season. The 'fog' is a vapor specifically designed to kill the virus on contact, sanitizing those difficult to clean surfaces or hard to reach areas of the accommodation.
During summer 2020 we allowed a minimum two night gap between guests. We are still not comfortable allowing 'same day' change overs (as allowed by industry guidance) but we may move to a one night gap between guests for the 2021 season, as we are happy that our other cleaning and sanitizing processes are effective.
We are working towards having the play area open for Easter 2021 (as long as Covid-19 regs allow it) with more suitable, flexible and movable equipment. The new equipment will allow a flow of use, to encourage social distancing and safer play. We are aiming to create a more 'discovery' based play area.
We hope to be allowed to open the sensory room again for Easter 2021 (as long as Covid-19 regs allow it). This will also have had a lick of paint and a new more natural look. As always it will only be available for one family at a time. Access will be included with the 'Sunflower pack' which you can add, as an 'extra', to your stay at time of booking.
This season we have put a lot of work into the willow garden, which has remained closed for summer 2020. By Easter 2021 we hope to have it open with lots of new exciting features and trails to discover and plenty of hidden places to explore.
The kitchen garden area has proved popular this year and we hope to develop the herbs and cutting flowers for the 2021 season. We will also have young plants available on site for sale, if you would like to take a little bit of Devon home with you.
We know feeding our mini sheep has been very popular with our little guests and we are working on creating more opportunities for our guests to enjoy meeting all our animals at Ingelton Farm. Our booking calendar for 2021 is now open, with 2 night minimum stay off peak and 3 night minimum stay at the peak times of year - Easter, May half-term and the Summer.
